Honoring JVC's History in Newark, NJ

From 1975-2022217 Jesuit Volunteers served with JVC in the city of Newark.

Entering the 2022-23 Program Year, JVC paused our presence in Newark, but we are hopeful to return when our JV numbers increase.

Out of gratitude for the service of our Newark FJVs and the wider JVC community that has supported them, we have set aside this space for reflections, photos, and tributes in celebration of Oscar Romero House.

If you have a story or photo from your time in the Newark community, please email fjvs@jesuitvolunteers.org to add it to this page!

Above are some community pictures from our house, affectionately known as "The Rooster's Nest". Sad to see Newark is on pause, hopefully it'll be back soon! :)
