San Francisco

Casa Martin Luther King Jr.

San Francisco has been home to a JV community since the early days of JVC's presence on the West Coast. JVs have loved exploring the Mission neighborhood and San Francisco at large, taking in all the sights and visiting the grounds of historic protests and community events.

JVC in San Francisco

The San Francisco JVs currently live in the Mission District, a neighborhood with a long history. Most recently the Mission was a predominantly Chicano/Latino neighborhood with landmarks such as Dolores Mission, Dolores Park, and the San Francisco Armory.

Casa MLK has easy access to public transit as the nearest BART stop is just 2 blocks away. Most agencies are within walking distance of the house, with a few just requiring a journey on the BART. JVs love exploring all of the different food options present – notably, trying to settle the debate surrounding which is the best taqueria in the Mission!
