JVC in San Diego
JVC has been in San Diego since 1980, three years after JVC established their presence in the West. Casa Celina Ramos is located in the historic Barrio Logan neighborhood, the center of the Chicano movement in the 1960s. It is a few blocks away from Chicano Park, a Chicano-themed public park created in large part by the local residents. It is the site of a 1970s demonstration, land takeover, and cultural renaissance for the Mexican-American community. It features more than 60 colorful murals depicting the community’s activism.
